The story so far…
A long time ago, in the humble town of Lausanne, the journey of a young cellist began…
Suzuki Variation on Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
He then decided to be your friendly neighborhood spiderman for the day:
W.A. Mozart, May Time – Suzuki Cello Book 2
A few later years…
J.B. Lully, Gavotte – Suzuki Cello Book 3
At the age of 13, our young protagonist made his first solo orchestral appearance:
H. Casadesus (J.C. Bach), Cello Concerto in C Minor
Years on, Benjamin took a profound interest in Ernest Bloch‘s music,
exploring the brilliance of the latter’s grandiose hebraic rhapsodie Schelomo,
both on paper for his thesis, and on stage:
E. Bloch – Schelomo
Together with his mentor, Daniel Müller-Schott (sometimes, two forces are better than one):
Vivaldi, Concerto for Two Cellos in G Minor
A life in search of harmony between people, and most importantly his loves ones:
here lies one of the key forces driving Benjamin’s purpose.
In constant search of this connection, his professional debut concert was the perfect opportunity to bring this to light,
exploring the interdisciplinary potential of the arts:
Valerija Frank | J.S. Bach, Cello Suite No.3 in C Major BWV 1009 – Gigue
Camille Saint-Saëns, The Swan
